Tim Hall & Associates was established in South Melbourne in 1997, then relocated to Bairnsdale in 1999. We reopened a Melbourne office in early 2016 to better service our clients.
Tim Hall & Associates offers a personal and fully comprehensive design service that covers many facets of the building industry, from feasibility studies to full design services in everything from civil and structural engineering to industrial, architectural and interior design. A basic principle of the firm is the provision of the personal services of the principals on all projects. This method of operation limits the size of the practice, which varies in size with up to five permanent staff, supplemented by contract engineers, architects and draftsmen when necessary. Projects are undertaken both independently and as part of a consultancy team. Larger projects have been carried out in association with other firms of Architects and Engineers.
Our approach is to work together and directly with the client from the beginning, incorporating the main design disciplines, Civil, Structural, Services, Architectural and Interior Design to ensure that no one aspect of the building will be developed at the expense of the other.
Buildings materially alter the environment. Our approach to this is to analyse and recognise the significance of the site, and to develop an architecture directly from the surrounding context. Environmental performance, selection of materials and life cycle costs are major determinants in the design process.
